About
Aida was born and raised in Lithuania, during the Soviet Era. She came to the U.S. in 1992. In 1997, she earned her second Bachelor’s degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, specializing in Marketing and Sales, to complement her degree from Vilnius University in Finance and Accounting. Aida worked in Marketing Communications for Fortune 100 companies such as Oracle, Xerox, and IBM.
In 2003, Aida left high-tech marketing to train with highly regarded experts in the areas of art consulting and fine art appraisal, earning numerous qualifications, including Certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine & Decorative Arts from New York University in 2014.
In addition, Aida’s ethnic background enables her to appraise unique objects from Soviet Era Russia. One of the most exciting Russian heritage projects that Aida had an honor to be part of was a fundraiser organized by the George Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY, and the State Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2005, at Hermitage, a large collection of daguerreotypes was uncovered which was in need of conservation. The most financial support came form the Mellon Foundation but the project required immediate access to financial resources – the very resources provided by the fundraiser.
